Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is an anime television series by Studio Bind that began airing in January 2021 on Tokyo MX. Rifujin na Magonote wrote the light novel source material, which began publication in 2014. Director Manabu Okamoto led the anime staff alongside character designer Kazutaka Sugiyama and music composer Yoshiaki Fujisawa.

An unnamed 34-year-old Japanese recluse dies after pushing teenagers away from a speeding truck. He awakens in a fantasy world as Rudeus Greyrat, an infant who keeps all the memories of his past life. Rudeus reads magical books in his home and trains in secret before taking lessons from a traveling water magic tutor named Roxy Migurdia. He later teaches a half-elf child named Sylphiette and leaves home to work as a private tutor for an aristocratic girl named Eris Boreas Greyrat.

Broadcast of season 1 took place across 2021, showing 11 episodes between January and March and 12 episodes between October and December. An unaired side-story episode followed in March 2022 to conclude the initial run. A second season expanded the anime with 25 episodes, running 13 episodes from July to September 2023 and 12 episodes from April to June 2024. Yumi Uchiyama performs the Japanese voice of the young Rudeus, while Tomokazu Sugita voices the internal narration of his previous self.
